This year will be a 3-day ride to Methven with some of our best motorcycling roads including Catlins, HWY99 to Te Anau, Devils Staircase, Crown Range, Haast Pass, West Coast HWY6, Arthurs Pass and over to Methven for the Southern Roar.
This is a DSKC event for members and will be a typical low key Deep South fun few days riding the lower South Island and we are encouraging pillions.
Ride with the group or do your own thing, join in along the way - your choice. Each evening we will have a suggested meeting place as well as a breakfast leaving point each day.
We have a simple registration process attached, we need to know who’s coming so please send this in asap. Thanks to Russell Marr who is working on the ride plan which will be sent to all registered closer to the time.
The DSKC allocation of 125 Southern Roar registrations are now all sold. There is another wave of 50 tickets opening to all NZ HOG members in June, HOG will communicate this to all members soon. The SR is not a requirement for this ride, you can carry on as you wish.
We suggest start booking accommodation now. Below are a couple suggestions, either try these or usewww.booking.com website or app where you’ll find options from backpackers to high quality – your choice.
Because we are in small towns all accommodation will be relatively close.
